3-MB-24 was the first tooth found in the Tolman area of the Horseshoe Canyon Formation. It belongs to an Albertosaurus sarcophagus. The lines on it are likely due to roots from modern plants growing around it trying to get minerals. It was found relatively close to 4-MB-22, about 150 or so meters away but the situ it came from was lower than the layer where 4-MB-22 was found. The hillside could have collapsed moving the tooth to a different elevation level or it could have just originally been deposited there.
